The National:

THE Cabinet reshuffle made headlines across the UK earlier this week, which just may have been the Tories' plan all along.

While some of Boris Johnson’s Brexiteers were handed demotions, like new Housing Secretary Michael Gove and Justice Secretary Dominic Raab, others came out on top, like the newly minted Foreign Secretary Liz Truss.

Nevertheless, it seems there may have been an even bigger piece of news which didn’t quite filter down from those upper echelons of the London government.

Rishi Sunak, long tipped as a potential successor to Johnson and apparently a favourite of the BBC, seems to have received a sly promotion.

But when you’re already the Chancellor of the Exchequer, there aren’t many higher offices to fill. There’s really just the one, in fact.

Mr Rishi Sunak, Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury. The former hedge fund manager obviously thinks it has a nice ring to it, as he is apparently getting parcels delivered to No10 under that title.

A photo snapped by an eagle-eyed political photographer and shared on Twitter on Friday shows the name and address on a box being taken to the exclusive address.

While Sunak might have his sights set on the Prime Minister job, he’s not there yet. No matter what name and address he might give a courier.

Some on Twitter had fun with the news, with one Dylan Johnston writing: "Love the fact that even the Chancellor of the Exchequer has to deal with Hermes… presumably it was lobbed over the front gate into the middle of Downing Street?"

A second user also made a joke at the parcel company's expense, writing: "Hermes actually delivered his parcel. One rule of them another for us."

Others were a little more serious, and pointed out that the title is likely just a part of the address.

Mistake or not, Sunak's certainly not out of the running to succeed Johnson.
