1 EDINBURGH Food Festival opens this week, yum, yum! The event will run until next Sunday and will take place in George Square gardens. 2 IT’S the most wonderful time of the year, nope, not Christmas, the joyful lazy summer evenings of Bard in the Botanics, when the theatre group perform outdoors on the grass at Glasgow’s Botanic Gardens. Every year brings two different classic Shakespeare productions, this year its the turn of A Winter’s Tale and Twelfth Night. 4 EDINBURGH Arts Festival hits the ground running again with over 35 new exhibitions and exhibits in galleries all across the festival.

5 THE Wee Writers Festival at Dundonald Castle is happening this week promising great family fun sessions for budding authors to unleash their imaginations as led by writer in residence Lorraine Johnston.
Workshops are available for age group 8-12, and the rest of the family can nosy around the castle, enjoy the gardens or opt for tea and scones in the cafe. Available all summer starting this weekend.
