SCOTLAND has recorded 1307 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, the latest Government figures show.
The figures also show that 11 further deaths of Covid-19 patients were recorded in the same time period.
These new deaths bring the total in Scotland under this measure - of people who died within 28 days of first testing positive for the virus - to 7848.
The 1307 new cases reported today represent 6.1% of the 23,857 tests for Covid-19 that reported results in the past 24 hours.

This is above the 5% test positivity threshold which the World Health Organisation says indicates that the virus is under control.
Public Health Scotland data elsewhere shows that the country's seven-day test positivity rate is currently 7.6%.
The figures also show that there were 478 people were in hospital in Scotland yesterday with recently confirmed Covid-19. Of these, 60 were in intensive care.
In terms of the vaccination effort, 3,994,883 people in Scotland have received the first dose of the Covid jag. A total of 3,064,441 people have also received their second dose.
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
Callum Baird, Editor of The National
