BUDGET supermarket chain Lidl has announced the products included in its Scottish Larder promotion, from tablet popcorn to haggis pakora.

Featuring more than 30 of Scotland's top food and drink producers, the Scottish Larder is set to hit stores across the country from next Thursday (April 8).

The larder includes twists on traditional favourites such as salted caramel and raspberry and white chocolate shortbread from Reids Bakery as well as Cosmo's unique haggis pizza.

Included in the line-up are family favourites Baxters, Tunnocks and Mackies, with award-winning Reids Bakery joining with its range of Scottish Shortbread and Oat Crumbles available from just £1.29.

Managed by husband and wife duo Gary and Tracy Reid (above), the family-run bakery produces more than 15 million biscuits every year at its factory based in Thurso on Scotland's far north coast.

Tracy Reid, Business Development Manager at Reids Bakery, said: “Joining Lidl’s Scottish Larder alongside some of the country’s finest producers is a highlight for us. We’re passionate when it comes to bringing unique products to the bakery aisle. We believe attention to detail makes food taste incredible, which is why we use the very best ingredients and experiment with flavour combinations.”

The larder also includes Scotland's favourite pakora maker, Mrs Unis (pictured below next to her products). The Edinburgh-based producer has favourites like chicken tikka, spiced onions and, of course, haggis pakora. The National: Mrs Unis in Lidl with haggis pakora
