A BAFTA-WINNING Scots digital entertainment firm is teaming up with Vertigo TV for their first joint venture – You’ve Been Trumped! – an eight-part dramatisation of Anthony Baxter’s documentary of the same name.
Blazing Griffin, the team behind Runrig’s Last Dance, said the story has global resonance illustrating the extraordinary measures ordinary people will take as they square up to one of the world’s most powerful families. Baxter’s film won a host of awards and became the highest rated documentary on the Internet Movie Database (IMDb).
The show will be based around Trump’s decision to build a luxury golf course in the middle of a treasured Scottish nature reserve, and faces the wrath of locals who fight to preserve their way of life and their homes.
The stakes could not be higher when the Trump Organisation resorts to ruthless and mob-like tactics.
Baxter said: “As I followed the local heroes of Scotland standing up to Donald Trump in the David vs Goliath of You’ve Been Trumped, fact seemed stranger than fiction.
“And few writers could possibly have envisaged what would happen next. So I’m delighted to be a part of the incredible team turning the extraordinary story of Trump in Scotland into a gripping landmark drama.”
