Eat Well for Less? (BBC1, 8pm)

TONIGHT, Gregg Wallace and Chris Bavin tackle a common problem in households across the country – getting families to eat the same food. Aliyah and Ajaz Ahmed and their young family live a hectic life near Glasgow and as they have very different tastes, they rarely consume the same meal. The couple ask the hosts to help them figure out ways to eat together and reduce the amount of red meat and costly takeaways they get through. While Gregg advises the couple on how cut down on waste, Chris helps them create a healthier version of Ajaz’s favourite takeaway.

Being Frank: The Frank Gardner Story (BBC2, 9pm)

ON June 6, 2004, BBC security correspondent Frank Gardner and cameraman Simon Cumbers were ambushed by Al Qaeda gunmen in Saudi Arabia. Simon was killed and Frank shot six times and left partially paralysed and unable to walk. He has used a wheelchair ever since. Fifteen years on, he continues to travel the world reporting for the BBC after returning to his role in 2005. However, he says he has never got used to his paralysis, and in this deeply personal film, he talks candidly about the challenges of suddenly becoming disabled.

Taskmaster (C4, 9pm)

THIS increasingly popular series continues tonight as Taskmaster Greg Davies and his “miniature” assistant Alex Horne’s set more inventively pointless tasks for comics Daisy May Cooper, Johnny Vegas, Katherine Parkinson, Mawaan Rizwan and Richard Herring. While Daisy attempts to flirt with a security guard, Richard is surprised by some chickens, and Johnny convinces Alex to wear sparkly shoes while operating heavy machinery.

The Apprentice Best Bits (BBC1, 9pm)

THE last episode of the series is entitled Successes and Failure and looks back at occasions when the candidates’ hopes were dashed and records were smashed. It’s been 15 years since the first contestants made their way into the infamous boardroom and Lord Sugar, Baroness Brady and Claude Littner reminisce about the reality series’ most impressively accomplished tasks and those that ended in cringe-inducing failure.
