GLASGOW Science Centre finally reopens its doors today with a new exhibition that was originally scheduled for late March.

The new £1.1 million Idea No59, is dedicated to innovation and how it has and will change our world.

Quantum photonics, machine learning and genetic sequencing are just some of the technologies featured in Idea No59, which features a combination of interactive exhibits, stories of innovation and hands-on workshops.

Visitors will also notice the refurbished atrium and new ticketing desk (complete with sneeze screens), a STEM hub known as the Bothy and a range of new safety measures to keep everyone safe such as enhanced cleaning of certain areas.

A few places like the Big Explorer soft play area will remain closed in accordance with social distancing guidance. Masks are mandatory for over fives and social distancing must be adhered to.

Pre-booking online is now essential for entry into the centre.
