This glorious shot of a low-hanging rainbow over Loch Lomond was captured by amateur photographer Cat Perkinton on one of her regular walks around the area.

Reader Colin Rankin said of this photo: “Since the start of lockdown we’ve seen so much more wildlife in the garden but it’s never when the camera is to hand. 

“Today, thankfully, I managed the get some images of this little fella.”

Laura Smith took this great shot of her boyfriend Craig walking into the rainbow after a rainstorm in Portnahaven, Islay.

Neil McKay took this great shot in morning light looking south to Knoydart from below the saddle in Glenshiel, with Ladhar Beinn in cloud, after a night scramble of the Forcan.

This fantastic shot was sent in by Colin Rankin, who managed to snap the scene while visiting Skye. He’d been trying to capture it for 24 hours, waiting for cloud and mist to clear. 

“Finally they lifted long enough to get this shot before it started to rain ... sometimes stubbornness wins out!” Colin said.
