AN invitation has been sent by Voices for Scotland to the Yes movement to join a virtual Get Together tomorrow evening at 6pm when the guest speaker will be Craig Dalzell of the Common Weal think tank.

In the absence of face-to-face meetings and discussions, such events over Zoom and other online meeting services are keeping the Yes movement talking.

Voices for Scotland said: “We love these Get Together events. They bring people together from all across Scotland at a time when, for a lot us, we’ve never felt so isolated.”

The Zoom meeting requires people to register beforehand on the Voices For Scotland website under events.

The organisers said: “At this Get Together we want to speak to those of you who are relatively new to the idea of independence and want to ask questions, find our more info and hear what others think about the things that matter to you.

“We’re really lucky to be joined by Craig Dalzell from Common Weal who will be there to chat through the issues that matter to you.

“This is an open forum event in a safe space without judgement or shouty politics.”

Another subject up for discussion is the voting system.

Voices for Scotland tweeted: “Do you know the difference between the proportional single transferable vote system and first past the post? How does it affect Scotland’s democratic representation?

“If you do let us know your thoughts and if you don’t, join us on Thursday at 6pm.”
