JANEY Godley’s voiceover videos have long delighted social media users.

The comedian’s ingenious clips have brought humor to some turbulent and tragic times in recent months.

One of her favourite people to impersonate is First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, who has occasionally endorsed the outrageous clips in the form of a retweet.

Asked by Original 106 FM what she makes of Godley’s work, Sturgeon said: “Janey Godley is a brilliant comedian … and her voiceovers are very funny.

“They’re very rude in terms of the language they use so sometimes I don’t feel able to retweet them. But they’re very, very funny.”

The FM added: “The really clever thing she’s doing with them right now is making people laugh, but she’s also – if you listen to them carefully – she’s getting the key messages across very, very powerfully.

“So if humor helps us to make people understand what they should be doing right now then it’s all well and good so I think she’s doing a really good job on that front.”

Replying to the FM’s praise, Godley tweeted: “Oh my god this is amazing thanks @NicolaSturgeon”

Here is one of the comedian's most recent videos. As the First Minister warned, expect very strong language.
