THE mother of murdered Alesha MacPhail has hit out at a documentary about her killer.

Kids Who Kill: Evil Up Close, which aired last night on the Crime+Investigation channel, focused on Aaron Campbell’s horrific killing of Alesha MacPhail.

Georgina Lochrane said the programme only gave Campbell the attention he craves.

She took to social media urging people to drown out images of the 17-year-old killer with photographs of Alesha’s smile.

She wrote: "I ask that you join us tonight and share Alesha's beautiful smile worldwide.

"In regards to this documentary tonight, lets together drown it out, drowning it out with Alesha's beautiful smile.

"They want to document just the bad, well let us all remember the good together.

"Let us remember Alesha's life, who she was as an individual and her beautiful smile and her little personality. I know she'd have grown to do great things.

"Personally I'd not suggest anyone watch it, but that is your choice, giving AC the attention he craves."

Alesha was just six when Campbell took her from her bed as she slept while on holiday on the Isle of Bute in 2018.

Campbell is serving 24 years in prison after he was found guilty of Alesha’s rape and murder.

At the trial at Glasgow’s High Court, judge Lord Matthews said Campbell had shown 'a staggering lack of remorse'.
