NEW series. Well-known faces Su Pollard, Sheila Ferguson, the Rev Richard Coles, Keith Duffy, Angela Rippon and John Sergeant travel back in time to the 1920s for the ultimate murder mystery weekend. The participants have just four days to solve the case, relying on their wits and the best forensic techniques the era has to offer. As the story begins, the celebs are invited to the reading of the Baroness Grafton’s will, and it’s clear that some of her loved ones are happier with their lot than others. Inevitably, it’s not long before the bodies start to stack up.

Pilgrimage: The Road to Istanbul

(BBC2, 9pm)

NEW series. Journalist Adrian Chiles, former politician Edwina Currie, Olympian Fatima Whitbread, broadcaster Mim Shaikh, TV presenter Amar Latif, comedian Dom Joly and actress Pauline McLynn set out to cover sections of the Sultans Trail – a modern-day 2200km pilgrimage across eastern Europe that starts in Vienna and ends in Istanbul. Each has different religions, with Dom and Pauline confirmed atheists. Starting in Serbia’s capital Belgrade, they stay in basic hostels and sleep in shared dorms, acting as simple pilgrims traversing the ancient military route by rail and foot.

PETER Kay has avoided the spotlight since cancelling his massive UK stand-up tour in December 2017. However, with the Lancashire comedy legend returning to the decks to host his Dance For Life in aid of Cancer Research shows in April and May, hopefully we will see some new material from him soon.

Friday Night Dinner

THE return of the family comedy about two brothers who visit their eccentric parents once a week for dinner only for something, or everything, to inevitably go wrong. Adam and Jonny arrive at mum and dad’s both excited at their big news – they have both had a bit of luck in the romantic stakes. The big question is: should they tell mum just yet? Meanwhile, dad has his own news – he has bought a caravan and has been practically living in it all week.
