SOCIAL distancing is the name of the game as the coronavirus spreads around the globe, but one GIF has perfectly captured how effective staying at home can be.
Shared by Dr Siouxsie Wiles, a microbiologist and associate professor at the University of Auckland, it shows exactly how working from home or turning down an invitation to a BBQ can have a profound impact on the spread of Covid-19.

Through social distancing and regular handwashing, the speed by which coronavirus spreads can be flattened, helping to prevent health services being overwhelmed and keeping your friends and family safe.
So if you have that one pal who still doesn't understand how important these decision are, show them this.
And no, going to the Highlands and Islands is not a safe way to socially distance yourself.
