Some English newspapers struck a somewhat more enthusiastic tone as they marked the UK's EU withdrawal
THE UK’s withdrawal from the European Union has exposed many divides.
Perhaps none more so than the political differences between Brexiteer-dominated England and pro-European Scotland. Just look at the results map of the December General Election.
On the day we are officially forced out of the EU against our will, the divide was evident on the front pages of national newspapers.
While most Scottish titles struck a mournful tone, many English editors channelled their inner Churchill in a wave of triumphalism...

But not every English title was so enthusiastic...
