A SCOTTISH cafe has won a prestigious award at the National Fish & Chip Awards.

The National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF) named the Real Food Cafe in Tyndrum, which was up against two other shortlisted finalists, as its Quality Award Champion.

The category is only open to businesses that hold an NFFF Quality Award and crowns the “champion” of the accreditation programme.

The awards are organised by Seafish, the public body that supports the £10 billion UK seafood industry.

The cafe tweeted that it was “delighted and humbled” to have won against other “top-notch” finalists.

Marcus Coleman, chief executive at Seafish, said the case should be “hugely proud” of its new title.

He went on: “The Real Food Cafe ticks all the boxes across the quality of their product, service, running of the business and staff training procedures.

“Congratulations to them, as an established business we know they will continue to go from strength to strength.”
