The National:

THE devolved parliaments and assemblies of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have all voted to reject Boris Johnson’s Brexit deal.

Yet the UK Government has vowed to ignore the democratic will of each nation and press ahead with the EU withdrawal anyway.

To most observers, that may seem a tad unfair to Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

BBC Radio Scotland presenter Hayley Millar, however, saw it from a novel point of view.

In an interview with SNP Westminster leader Ian Blackford, she asked the question on nobody’s lips: “What about England?”
