In for a Christmas Penny (STV, 7.25pm)

STEPHEN Mulhern takes to the streets of Manchester and attempts to deliver festive fun to members of the public. He’ll be orchestrating games, including a festive version of In for a Penny – where a holiday to the Big Apple is up for grabs. With a pile of cash ready to be won, Stephen challenges shoppers to take part in a host of games including That’s a Wrap, where the public have 60 seconds to tape as many items to their bodies as they can. And Santa Who Who Who sees Stephen dressed as an elf. He’s joined by a mystery celebrity Santa, and contestants have to guess the celebrity to win the prize.

Michael McIntyre’s Big Show (BBC1, 8.15pm)

THE eponymous star is back and he aims to entertain you with another feast of giggles. However, any chance he had of dominating proceedings goes out the window when Robbie Williams surprises karaoke-singing members of the audience with renditions of his classic hits. He also gives the masses a festive treat with a performance of Winter Wonderland. Given his recent grumpy, potty-mouthed appearance in I’m A Celebrity, hopefully Ian Wright will be a lot more on the ball when he hands over his phone for Send To All.

Jane McDonald’s Christmas Spectacular (C5, 9.20pm)

JANE McDonald’s fans know she’s the perfect person to get a party started, so who better to kick-off Channel 5’s Christmas celebrations in style? As an added bonus, she’s also launching a new run of her musical show with this special seasonal episode. Celebrity guests Lee Ryan, Aled Jones and Russell Watson will be joining her to perform some favourite festive numbers, accompanied by a live band.

Robbie Williams: Radio 2 in Concert (BBC2, 10.25pm)

IT’S nearly 20 years since Stoke’s most famous musical export took to the stage at the Albert Hall for his Swing When You’re Winning gig. Of course there’s been a lot of water under the bridge since then. Now he’s back with this festive helping of music and fun. Here he takes to the stage at the BBC Radio Theatre in London, performing festive songs from his new album The Christmas Present. His band includes long time collaborator Guy Chambers, and among the featured tracks are Merry Christmas Everybody; current single Time for Change, and classics such as Feel, She’s the One and Angels.
