SCOTLAND's newly elected 59 MPs are heading off to Westminster to begin work following a landslide result for the SNP.
The new Members of Parliament shared their thoughts and photos on Twitter as they began the journey to London.
Here's just a few of them.
Am on train to London. Me and my suitcase came via the brand new #Robroyston Train Station which was officially opened this morning by SNP Govt Transport Cab Sec @MathesonMichael - I campaigned for this many years ago so was lovely to be elected just in time to mark the opening. pic.twitter.com/0vThAXuUp1

Back to the office & quite a different Parliament to the one we left five weeks ago. Thank you to all who put their faith in me to continue as the MP for WAK. The @ScotTories may be diminished in number, but our resolve to defend our Union and Scotland's place in it is undimmed. pic.twitter.com/TnXjeIhp5L

Back down to #Westminster today along with my @theSNP colleagues to deliver real opposition to the Tories after the utter failure of the Labour Party which is now engaged in civil war. We will #StandUpForScotland #ScotlandsFutureInScotlandsHands pic.twitter.com/dL1BWTRXAK

On my way to London this morning - with a wee sense of deja vu - ready to get to work for #EastRen and Scotland. Expecting a very busy week ahead.

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
