THIS new three-part psychological drama is written by Mike Bartlett of Doctor Foster fame and reunites him with Tall Story Pictures, who were behind Trauma, Bartlett’s hit collaboration with ITV. Heading the cast is Ken Nwosu as Thomas Benson, a hard-working husband and father with a middle-management job that requires him to win new business – if he doesn’t, he missed out on the bonuses he needs to make ends meet. However, when he freezes during a pitch, the fallout is monumental.

Responsible Child (BBC2, 9pm)

IN England and Wales, children as young as 10 can be put on trial for murder in an adult court. This feature-length drama is inspired by a true story. Ray, 12, along with his brother Nathan, 23, is arrested after stabbing their mother’s partner to death. Acclaimed documentary-maker Nick Holt tells tells the story in two time frames – one reveals the events leading up to the crime and the other focuses on a boy’s experience of the legal system.

Cunk & Other Humans on 2019 (BBC2, 10.30pm)

DIANE Morgan was a regular scene-stealer in the most recent series of the sitcom Motherland, but for many people, the actress is never funnier than when she’s being her alter ego, clueless presenter Philomena Cunk, who was first introduced via Charlie Brooker’s Screenwipe. She’s back with a new series running all this week – the bad news is the episodes are only five minutes long. Still, that should be ample time for Philomena to dazzle us all with her insights.
