THE works of one of the most significant Scottish artists of the modern age go on display from today in a major new exhibition.

Some of Scottish Colourist John Duncan Fergusson’s best-known paintings will be on show at Perth Museum and Art Gallery, including The Grey Hat, Le Manteau Chinois and At My Studio Window.

Culture Perth and Kinross has also received on loan The Pool of London by Andre Derain from Tate; On the French Coast by Samuel John Peploe from National Galleries Scotland; and Portrait of Greta Moll by Henri Matisse from the National Gallery in London.

In addition, The Boatbuilders, an iconic painting by the acclaimed Scottish artist John Bellany will go on display as part of the gallery’s latest Icons exhibition, which will also feature other works by Bellany.
