Dogs with Extraordinary Jobs (C5, 7pm)

Some cynics may think this series will only really be extraordinary if it shows us a canine chef or architect, but there are some surprising occupations in this episode, including four-legged conservation workers. The cameras catch up with a Sprocker Spaniel that is using its sense of smell to help save Britain’s fastest-declining mammal, the water vole, while in Namibia, Anatolian shepherd dogs plays a vital role in the conservation of Africa’s most endangered big cat, the cheetah.

Giri/Haji (BBC2, 9pm)

There’s already been a gunfight, but there could be even more violence in the offing as the dust settles. In London, Yuto is discovered fighting for his life after a grenade blast. Vickers is threatening to call in his mobster father to sort out the mess, but a wounded Donna just wants to bring the violence to an end and protect Yuto. Meanwhile, in Tokyo, Fukuhara is rushed to hospital with serious injuries and if he should die, his men are ready to take revenge by starting a war.

The Accident (C4, 9pm)

Harriet is in the dock for gross negligence manslaughter as the families’ private prosecution finally arrives in court. Angela and the others have nearly bankrupted themselves to fund the case. Will it all have been worth it? Polly fears for Leona, who wants to give evidence, but it is her relationship with Iwan that presents her with the most challenging questions. Last in the series.
