The National:

NORMAL service is resumed on Question Time this week, with no representative from Westminster ’s third-largest party on the panel.

There is, however, a slot for Richard Leonard. You know, the leader of Scottish Labour.

Don’t worry if you required a reminder, only 37% of Labour voters knew he was their leader in a poll conducted earlier this year.

Fiona Bruce will host the show, which will be broadcast at 10.35pm on BBC One Scotland.

It is being held in South Shields, in the north east of England.

  • Joining Leonard on the panel are: Tory peer and former chancellor Norman Lamont.
  • LibDem MP Caroline Voaden.
  • Award-winning film director Ken Loach.
  • And Kate Andrews of the Institute of Economic Affairs.

Boris Johnson’s fresh push for a General Election is sure to be top of the agenda.

And who knows, maybe the Tory government’s plans to bypass Holyrood will get a mention too.
