A WOMAN who was reported missing following a pro-independence march in Edinburgh has been safely found.

An urgent appeal was issued after Amanda Brown failed to make contact with her family following the independence march in Edinburgh on Saturday.

The daughter of Amanda had said her disappearance was out of character for her pro-independence mum, and that nobody had been able to contact her.

Following an appeal online, Amanda has reportedly been found.

Daughter Shannon Brown said: "My mum has been found!!! :( thank you all for your support I cannot thank everyone more."

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon also shared details of Brown's disappearance on Twitter, encouraging anyone with information to get in touch.
