The Papers (BBC One, 9pm)

GO behind the scenes of The National newsroom as YOUR newspaper covers the biggest story of a generation: Brexit. This is your chance to see what really happens when we put our editions together and juggle the demands of the printed paper and the website. Cameras followed us as we came up with the “blank” Theresa May front page which went viral, attended National Roadshows and recorded podcasts with some of Scotland’s best-known politicians.

Also: Can you complete Sunday National editor Richard Walker’s colourful description of a terrible day in the office when the editorial operating system wasn’t working properly: “It’s just been a conglomeration of [blank]”. Tune in tonight to find out if you guessed right...

Rugby World Cup’s Greatest Tries, (ITV4, 8pm)

AHEAD of the 2019 tournament which begins in Japan on Friday, Martin Bayfield looks back at some of the World Cup’s most memorable tries, including New Zealander John Kirwan’s effort against Italy in the first-ever RWC match back in 1987. There is also footage of his All Black compatriot Jonah Lomu terrorising England during a game in 1995 that signified the global emergence of one of the greatest players to ever take the field. Also in the rundown is Serge Blanco’s effort for France against Australia in 1987, and Jason Robinson’s try for the English which helped them defeat the Wallabies in the 2003 final.

Deep Water (STV, 9pm)

IN the final episode, Roz finally decides to confess to Lisa about what happened between her and Wayne, and together they decide to report it to the police. Meanwhile, Kate is rushed into hospital after Fergus finds her unconscious in the boathouse after a night of heavy drinking. When she is discharged from hospital, she convinces Guy to stay for Fergus’ birthday party. Lisa becomes increasingly suspicious of Kate’s role in Fergus’ health, and Kate and Guy finally come to terms with the damage they have done to their family.
