Here are the picks of tonight's TV...

Celebrity Crystal Maze, C4, 8pm
RICHARD Ayoade hosts the final episode in the current run of the show featuring intrepid celebrity Mazekateers. This time around, hot-stepping support comes from Strictly’s Oti Mabuse and Naked Attraction’s Anna Richardson, while bringing up the rear are Kent heart-throb and Love Island winner Jack Fincham and comedian Russell Kane, all ably led by “dad vibe” award-winning actor and League of Gentlemen lynchpin Steve Pemberton.

Lethal Weapon, STV, 9pm
THIS adaptation went down a storm on the small screen – behind the scenes, not so much. Clayne Crawford (Riggs) was shown the door and, instead of recasting the role, showrunners made the bold move of killing off Riggs and creating a new character, Wesley Cole. He’s a former international CIA agent who returns home and assumes duty at the LA Police Department. Cole soon finds himself navigating a new partnership with as he adjusts to life in thye City of Angels.

Hippos: Africa’s River Giants, BBC2, 9pm
IF your knowledge of hippos starts and ends with a song about glorious mud, then prepare to be educated. With incredible underwater footage, and David Attenborough, we’re transported into the world of an animal that cannot swim yet is utterly dependent on water. Cameras focus on Botswana’s Okavango delta, where hippos face a major challenge as deep floodwaters evaporate. We see these creatures protect their families and face enemies as they deal with the drought.

Freddie Mercury: The Greatest Showman, C5, 10pm
WE didn’t need a multi-million-pound movie to remind us that Freddie Mercury was one of rock music’s greatest showmen. However, 28 years after his death, interest in the self-conscious guy from Zanzibar has never been greater. In the latest of many profiles of star, we hear from those who knew him, including his friends, lovers, collaborators and his most devoted fans.
