FAMILIES from across Scotland took part in a “die-in” outside Holyrood yesterday as part of this week’s climate crisis protests.

The event was organised by the Wee Rebellion, a climate change protest group for young people in Glasgow associated with Extinction Rebellion.

The latter has set up a “Rebel Camp” outside Holyrood as MSPs discuss amendments to the Scottish Climate Bill.

The group have staged die-ins before, most recently at Kelvingrove in Glasgow where 300 young people and families lay down under Dippy, the diplodocus skeleton replica.

One of those who took part yesterday, Lida, 12, said: “The politicians aren’t listening to the people or to scientists. I am worried about my future.”
