The Gadget Show, C5, 7pm
IN a special edition of the show, Craig Charles, Ortis Deley, Jon Bentley and Georgie Barrat try to find out whether technology can help them beat professionals at their own games. Craig takes on a champion pool player, putting his faith in gadgets to help him rack up a point for the team, while Georgie dons a hard hat to see if she can outperform a group of builders.
Bake Off: The Professionals – The Final, C4, 8pm
THE three remaining teams must fight tooth and mixing bowl to be crowned the winners of this incredibly tough patisserie competition. Judges Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden have for the first time set two challenges for the final – four hours to create a stunning afternoon tea and seven hours to create a mind-blowing wedding feast. So which team
will impress the judges with their precision, passion and patisserie prowess, to be crowned the winner of Bake Off: The Professionals?
I Can Go For That: The Smooth World Of Yacht Rock, BBC4, 9pm
ALTHOUGH the 1970s radio-friendly sounds of the likes of Steely Dan and Hall and Oates were often dismissed in the heyday of punk, their sharp lyrics and sophisticated arrangements have recently been reappraised and labelled “yacht rock”. As well as looking at the influence of Bread, Michael McDonald and the Doobie Brothers, American broadcaster and writer Katie Puckrik reveals how these smooth sounds provided welcome relief for an America in turmoil after the Vietnam War and Watergate.
Celebrity Gogglebox, C4, 9pm
THE rolling cast of celebrities featured in this new series already know what it’s like to be in the public eye – but will that mean they sugar-coat their opinions a bit when they give their verdict on the week’s TV? The first group of armchair critics includes Rylan Clark-Neal and his mum Linda, Nick Grimshaw and his niece Liv, Gyles Brandreth and Sheila Hancock, and Little Mix.

We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
