The Brexit Party came second with 20%, Labour third with 9.9%, LibDems fourth with 7.4% and Tories fifth with 7.4%.

The only council areas the party did not win was Shetland and Orkney, a traditional LibDem voting area.

However, the figures were close. In Shetland, the LibDems won with 2001 votes while the SNP came second with 1751. And in Orkney, the LibDems secured 2144 votes, while the SNP received 1548.
