TWO weeks ahead of their own march for independence in Cardiff, a group of Welsh football supporters are in Scotland to meet up with Yes groups in Glasgow and Clackmannanshire.

Yes Clackmannanshire told us: “There is a cultural exchange taking place between Yes Clackmannanshire and a delegation from the Welsh Football Fans for Independence group.

“Members of Yes Partick Thistle will welcome both Groups to the Aitken Suite at Firhill in Glasgow, and after enjoying the football match (Thistle v ASr United) there will be a social event held in the Thistle Bar in Alloa.

“The Jags jamboree will include musical entertainment and an opportunity to discuss future linkage and consider how both groups can coordinate strategic activities in the furtherance of self-determination for both Scotland and Wales.

“A key consideration will be to look at a post-UK, where Scotland, England and Wales are sovereign and where Ireland is united.

“Sunday will see the biggest Bridges for Indy event ever to be held in Clackmannanshire. Yes Clacks and the Welsh Group will be joined by Clacks Women for Independence and colleagues from Yes Groups in Angus & Perth.

“The event will take place from 12pm to 3pm at the footbridge on the south approach road to the Kincardine and Clackmannanshire Bridges. The location has a good car park and is on the site of the old Pine and Oak milk bar.”
