HE has had a good excuse for being away, but now the Wee Ginger Dug’s owner Paul Kavanagh has returned from his nuptials and he and the Dug will be in Bearsden tomorrow night.

In conjunction with Bearsden North SNP Branch and the Yes Bearsden Group, The National Roadshow’s tour of Scotland will come to the Bearsden Hub at 7pm – please note the Main Hall has lift access, for those who cannot manage the stairs.

The National’s editor, Callum Baird, and our columnist Paul Kavanagh will be the speakers for the evening and free copies of the paper will be available for attendees. Word has it that there may be a young special guest, while Paul will also have some of his books on hand for purchase and signing.

After the speeches there will be a question and answer session and as usual, the Wee Ginger Dug himself will be happy to pose for photographs.

Our roadshows are always worth attending – at a time when Brexit and its effects on the future of Scotland are high on the political agenda, it will be a good time to reflect on the future benefits to yourself and your family of an independent Scotland, while Callum and Paul will be happy to answer questions about The National and the Yes movement generally – remember it was Paul who named this the Yes DIY campaign.

Meanwhile if you are a local SNP branch or Yes Group and are planning something for Saturday’s Day of Action please let us know at community@thenational.scot before Friday midday.
