CUSTOMER loyalty app Swipii has taken on three senior technology executives as it prepares for a period of rapid expansion.
The app has appointed airline fare comparison site Skyscanner’s growth director Janet Balneaves to its executive team, and taken on Skyscanner’s former chief operating officer Mark Logan and online restaurant booking service 5pm.co.uk founder Ronnie Somerville as non-executive directors.
The app, which currently helps over 1000 local UK firms attract returning customers via its online loyalty platform, plans to bring further businesses on board to its new technology platform of card-linking in the coming months.
Chitresh Sharma, co-founder and CEO of Swipii, said: “Our goal is to build the world’s largest local marketplace by connecting businesses, consumers and brands on one shared platform, and our recent senior hires are a vital step in helping us achieve that vision globally.”
