SCOTTISH rock band Mogwai have sponsored the football shirts of a primary school in Glasgow.

St Roch's primary school in Roystonhill has recieved several strips for the young pupils, branded with the bands name.

The school tweeted a photo of the new kit, saying "They look amazing. We can't thank you enough."

Stuart Braithwaite, Mogwai's guitarist, responded to say that he was "so happy about this."

The strips are turning out to be so popular that fans of the band have been asking if they come in adult sizes.  St Roch's were quick to tell hopeful fans that, unfortunately, the kit was "exclusive to The Young Team of St Roch's Primary".

The band formed in 1995 and since then have released nine albums, including their first album Mogwai Young Team.
