The small nation state is the future ... the world needs more cultural and political diversity, not less

They include Scotland, Catalonia, Euskadi, Flanders, Wallonia, Friesland, Corsica, Brittany and Venice. Their common cause is to replace the democratic deficit of the European Union and to oppose the austerity policies imposed by vested financial interests in the wake the great banking crash."

People all over Europe are seeing that small is beautiful. Let's look at the other movements for independence, self-determination and greater autonomy across Europe.

You do not have to look very far into Europe to find peoples who, like the Scots are working for greater self-determination and independence.
