Bake Off: The Professionals – The Final (C4, 8pm)

AFTER weeks of gruelling (and delicious-looking) competition, Liam Charles and Tom Allen raise the curtain on the grand final, as the last three teams standing face two epic challenges from fiendish judges Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden. They must pour all of their patisserie passion, prowess and precision into the first marathon task: producing hats fit for Tinseltown itself, constructed entirely from chocolate, alongside 24 filled chocolates and 24 confections. They then face the final, seven-hour challenge in which they must create a banquet to feed 60 people.

Secrets of the Museum (BBC2, 8pm)

IN this visit behind the scenes of the museum, there’s a massive amount of work to be done as the V&A’s Museum of Childhood prepares for a refurbishment and 30,000 toys and games must be packed away. There’s tension too as 140-year-old, 10-metre long paintings are set to become the longest artworks ever at the museum. Meanwhile, jewellery curator Clare aims to add the Vulcan ring, by British designer Emefa Cole, and the Peony Brooch, by Taiwanese designer Cindy Chao, to the V&A’s collection.

Cooking with the Stars (STV, 9pm)

AFTER last week’s pasta extravaganza, which saw Griff Rhys Jones, Catherine Tyldesley, Denise Van Outen and AJ Odudu attempt to create the perfect Italian dish, Emma Willis and Tom Allen are back with the third instalment of this competitive cookery show. As usual, the remaining celebrities are paired with professional chefs who will take them from passionate amateur to restaurant level. But which of the stars will be able to take the heat of Indian week?

Holby City (BBC1, 9.20pm)

DAVOOD Ghadami joins the cast of this long-running medical drama as Darwin clinical lead Eli Ebrahimi. He arrives at Holby at the same time as AAU nurse Madge Britton and it’s not long before they ruffle feathers. Among them is Ange, who is keen to prove she runs a tight AAU ship, despite dealing with some personal news. Meanwhile, Dom pulls out all the stops to find ways to treat Carole, but what she really wants is for him to be her son, not her doctor.
