SCOTTISH Labour's spring conference kicked off in Dundee today, but already it is being overshadowed after party bosses blocked a bid by members to discuss Scotland staying in the single market post-Brexit.

The effort by former leader Kezia Dugdale and a number of constituency parties to have members vote on a motion to tie Labour to remaining in the single market was denied.

In an interview with BBC Scotland this morning, Leonard was pressed on his position on the single market and on denying members a vote – and it makes for some painful listening.
