ANYONE with an ounce of nous or pride will be devastated at the loss of our national and international treasure of the wonderful Mackintosh School of Art. All is not lost. There are facsimiles of every square inch and no excuse not to get cracking now and show the world what we can do if we wake from our slumber of cant’s, despair and nae hope.

After the war, the proud citizens of Warsaw and elsewhere returned their ancient towns to exactly the way they were and better. The Ancients in the Middle and Far East built wonderful structures, while we were still living in mud huts, in no time. If we canny dae it, then bring in the Chinese, Poles or anybody with an ounce of vigour and self-respect. If a nation’s best resources are not its very people then we are well and truly a’ doomed.

The Victorians had a programme of infrastructure not equalled today, apart from London resetters, Whitehall and City spivs. The Scottish Government has promised to do all it can on its meagre pocket-money allowance amidst all the squandered wealth. Filthy-rich capitalists will want to be seen as “cultured” and contribute to get on their dishonoured list of non-doms and assorted pointless pirates. The EU is an open door of goodwill waiting to be kicked by a Scotland robbed of its past grants.

The whole subject can be a verbal feast to all the vainglorious speakers about to be released by the restless natives, stirred into some action at last by the House of Horrors’ cavalier and insulting treatment of our elected representatives.

The SNP membership is rising rapidly in justified response and anger to make them the second largest party in the disunited Queendome. They may not be in a Sinn Fein-type position to do a unilateral declaration of independence, but are coming close to it. Instead of a 15-minute farce with only one SNP speaker on a full English Brexit, the House of Horrors have been forced to grant three hours of “magnanimous” discussion.

The next annual mass march will take place in the field of Bannockburn on Saturday, boosted by the support and cooperation of All Under One Banner, Hope Over Fear, Yes Bikers, Yes groups and individuals from all over the country and beyond to flood the historic town of Stirling.

Since the SNP gave up the annual event it was taken over by the Scottish Republican Movement against much all-round opposition, just to keep the precedent going as an annual event under Labour‘s Public Order Act, designed to suppress, and bureaucratic obstacles to all instantaneous protest against their years of austerity and betrayals. The rally was inclusive to all who supported independence and has finally taken root.

We are not just commemorating a hero king, but the past, present and future of the sma’ fowk, who suffer in every war. One tradition says aboot 400 sma’ folk charged waving their implements and pointy things from Ghillies Hill and turned the tide of battle.

Another, that they were a’ kilt the nicht afore by a traitorous Scots Earl in Cambuskenneth.

Another says 400 Templar Knichties charged from the woods turning the battle.

Another charge is required by the sma’ fowk in larger numbers because we believe the people will be sovereign who will rise like a phoenix from a’ the ashes of despair.

Donald Anderson, continuity organiser of the Bannockburn rally and sma’ fowks

REBUILD this iconic building whatever the cost. It was done for Windsor and Hampton Court, and if it was good enough for the royals then it should be done for Scotland.
