IT is a simple matter of arithmetic that if every woman in Scotland voted Yes at the next referendum, independence would be achieved no matter what way a single man voted.

Women for Independence is one of the few pro-Yes national organisations which did not need to re-start recently – they never ceased to be, and are currently resurgent with a network of groups and individuals across Scotland.

Women for Independence Glasgow met on Thursday, Edinburgh Women for Independence meets later today at the Serenity Cafe at 2pm and next weekend sees the National Council of the organisation holding an open meeting in Dundee to discuss their “womanifesto” – the venue is The Steeple in the Nethergate from 11am.

Women for Independence said: “Join us for a fabulous day in Dundee to look further at women and the economy. Those who came along to Economy 1 in Edinburgh had a brilliant day looking at how many of women’s contributions to the economy are hidden or ignored and how we can add women’s experience to the conversation.

“We are continuing this work in Dundee and you can be part of this whether or not you attended Economy 1. Find out more and add your own thoughts and insights.

“We will also be launching our Free Period Scotland Report at our national council. Be the first to hear the results of our research before it becomes public the following week.”
