A LEADING global IT consulting firm is teaming up with a regeneration initiative in Kilmarnock to provide cutting-edge tech training to youngsters and professionals.
IT firm CGI, who are space industry specialists, and HALO Scotland, an Ayrshire regeneration project, will work together to develop technologies that will help young people and current workforces gain skills suited to digital, space, health and finance industries.
Marie Macklin CBE, Founder of the HALO Urban Regeneration company, said: “The Halo will work collaboratively with CGI to support the Glasgow Prestwick Airport spaceport project as the UK, Scotland and, of course, Ayrshire takes significant strides in the space industry.
Steve Smart, CGI Scotland vice president, said: “Regeneration of this nature, with the opportunities it brings for development and training in our industry, is hugely exciting and adds further to our commitment to Scotland.”
